Time for another round of Real life photos! This week's assignment is photos of momentous occasions.
Now, on with the show...
Momentous occasion #1-
My Engagement
What you need to know-I am a sinner.
My husband and I lived together for 8 1/2 years before we actually made it legal. We were only engaged for 6 months...so I waited a VERY long time for that special piece of jewelry.
We got engaged on Christmas Day 2002. I kept it to myself for several hours and wanted to tell my family in a special way. I decided to take a picture of my ring and email it to my Mom. My plan sort of went awry and the conversation I had with my Mother ended up making her think that I had somehow injured my hand or something. It was actually pretty funny, but I digress. My point is that this is the picture that I sent to my family to tell them that we were finally going to get married.

Momentous occasion #2-
Our Wedding
Here are a few of my favorite photos from our wedding. I think what I loved most about my wedding was that it was very low key. I was the anti-bridezilla. We got married in the park that I played in as a child. My Mom was our wedding planner, and she did a phenomenal job. I didn't want to spend big $$ for a photographer, and I really wanted to have more candid looking photos, so my cousin (who is a fabulous photographer) took our photos for us using my digital camera.
This is the ceremony. I don't look terribly happy in this shot, but I think it was just that I was trying not to cry. Once I saw the bouquets and the girls in their dresses I was pretty much a basket case.

Momentous occasion #3-
The Birth of my beautiful girl!
Ciara was delivered by C-section after 20 long hours of labor (with no progress). They showed her to me very briefly while they were stitching me back up, but it was a few hours before I really got to see her. This picture is of the first time I got to hold her.

And there you have it. A little wordy perhaps, but it wouldn't be me if it weren't.

Happy Real Life Day!
You look so amazing and elegant on your wedding day. I love purple. I actually wanted red & purple (we had red & silver) for our wedding colors, but my mom convinced it would look like a bordello.
Your hair did look gorgeous!
And you look really good after the birth of that baby! How do you do it?
Great pics!!! Your wedding looked beautiful and your little girl is SO sweet!

What a perfect picture of you and your beautiful baby! Seeing pictures of those first meetings brings tears to my eyes. It's a moment of pure bliss and it shows!
