This was not a bad week all things considered.
I only managed trips to the gym twice (Mon & Thurs), but I'm ok with that. On Monday I walked 5 laps around the track, hit the cycle for 30 minutes, and then did another 4 laps (for a total of 1 mile) on the track. Thursday I didn't have as much time so I just did 20 minutes of cycling.
I also did OK on the diet front. Sadly, we did end up eating McDonald's for dinner on Wed. night and there were a few other not all that terrific choices during the week; however, I did cut WAY back on snacking after work.
I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 1 lb from my starting weight. Given the fact that I gained a few lbs last week, I'm feeling pretty ok about the number.
Unfortunately, yesterday I pulled something in my upper-back so I'm going to have to take it a little bit easy this week and make sure don't make anything worse. I am still hoping to make at least 2 trips to the gym. I need to go grocery shopping this weekend, so I'm going to do my best to make as many healthy choices as I can. I'm keeping to the "eat with the kids" plan for my diet.
I did get some semi-good news from my boss this week. It looks as though my hours are going to be reduced in the next few weeks. Financially this is not thrilling news, but it will allow me more time to get things done around the house and to get to the gym. I will have to be careful about having more time to spend at home because I have the tendency to lapse back into bad habits when I'm not busy. I'll need to schedule things for me to do while Ciara naps so that I'm not tempted to sit down and watch a lot of tv and snack away.
